Foundation DNRT is there to facilitate racing at the amateur level. The aim is that the participants in the “ZAC” (Summer Evening Competition) races have a good time and that the costs remain as low as possible.
The Foundation is originally a racing team that has earned its spurs on a national and international level. More than 22 years ago, the organizers set their course, mainly to make motorsport affordable with a new system. There are now 18 classes, more than 900 active licensees and about 25 events are organized per year.
The races tie in almost seamlessly with the courses of the RSZ that was once founded by Rob Slotemaker and Henk van Zalinge. The course leads to the racing license and tremendous car control and understanding of the sport. The course itself is a joy to do. But then it is the turn of the DNRT races to enjoy motorsport even more. The ZAC (Summer Evening Competition) has been set up especially for the group that wants more after the course.
The matches are very accessible, fairly unimportant and there is no paying public. It's mighty fun to do. The matches are usually completed in 1 day. The sprint races are preceded by free practice and qualifying practice, followed by 2 races of 10-12 rounds. It's called Summer Evening because originally it was only raced on weekday summer evenings, but has been starting early in the morning for years now. Especially for the entrepreneurs and others who have little time.
The driving culture is always friendly. Damage is rare and the camaraderie is great. “We get along well with each other.” "It's nice to be at Circuit Zandvoort at these races." But there are also competition days in TT-Circuit Assen and in Zolder (B).
